TERMS · PRIVATE ALPHA DRAFT
Permanent capacity, not an eternity guarantee.
The intended commercial model uses tiered monthly plans beginning at $5. Each successfully paid subscription invoice grants the permanent-capacity amount associated with that plan. When a subscription ends, existing deposits remain available within the service while the service operates, but new deposits require an active subscription. Refunds, disputes, or reversed payments may reverse the associated capacity grant and place new deposits on hold. Existing ciphertext is not automatically deleted for a billing problem.
THE VAULT cannot promise operation for eternity. Before public billing, final terms must describe continuity, export, discontinuation, deletion, recovery-key loss, prohibited content, statutory consumer rights, refunds, and limitations accurately. Billing is disabled during the private alpha.
Protected Recovery is optional. It reduces the risk of permanent key loss but does not guarantee recovery. Recovery shares and recovery-profile secrets remain the customer's responsibility. Losing enough independent recovery factors can make encrypted contents unrecoverable. THE VAULT does not maintain a support master key.
